Technology for compounds to substitute concrete had been developed by Soviet scientists in 1960s. Its most common application was instant erection of wooden bridges (of materials on hand) across small rivers. Only in 21st century joint efforts of Canadian and German scientists as well as nanotechnologies' advance permitted to create high performance mass product with affordable price. About 80% of fences' fitting works in Canada are performed with concrete substitutes. American market value is about 60%, and about 50% of fences are fitted with the help of concrete substitutes in Europe.
